About the Agent for Microsoft SharePoint
The Agent for Microsoft SharePoint (SharePoint Agent) is installed as part of the Agent for Applications and Databases, which is included with Backup Exec Silver, and Gold editions. The SharePoint Agent enables network administrators to perform backup and restore operations on any supported Microsoft SharePoint installations that are connected to a network. SharePoint backups can be integrated with network backups without separate administration or dedicated hardware.
