Recommendations for Microsoft 365
Note the following recommendations:

It is recommended that you run a Consolidate Full backup regularly, once a week or once in every two weeks. If you cannot run the backup regularly, it is recommended to run it at least after 30 consecutive incremental backups. Restore operations can then complete in a reasonable amount of time.
For jobs that back up large amounts of data, it is recommended to run the Consolidate Full backup after a maximum of 15 consecutive incremental backups. This ensures that the Consolidate Full job can complete in a reasonable amount of time.

It is recommended that you run a full backup from the source tenant only when required. When you run a full backup from the source tenant, all the data is retrieved from the cloud providers.

It is recommended that you schedule a consolidate full backup, outside the regular backup window.

It is recommended to keep the Verify option enabled for the forever incremental backup solution.
For simultaneous runs of Microsoft 365 jobs backing up large amounts of data, it is recommended to disable the Verify option. Run a separate job to verify the backup set, which helps to complete the jobs within the backup window.
If the Verify option is enabled as part of backup solution, the next Forever Incremental or Consolidate Full job run is not triggered until the verify operation is completed.
