Setting up recovery actions when the Veritas System Recovery Agent does not start

You can specify the computer's response if the Veritas System Recovery Agent fails to start.
To set up recovery actions when the Veritas System Recovery Agent does not start
  1. On the Windows taskbar, click Start > Run.
  2. In the Run window, type services.msc1. ClickOK.
  3. In the Services window, on the Action menu, click Properties.
  4. On the Recovery tab, in the First failure, Second failure, and Subsequent failures lists, select the action that you want:
    Restart the Service Specify the number of minutes before an attempt to restart the service is made.
    Run a Program Specify a program to run. You should not specify any programs or scripts that require user input.
    Restart the Computer Click Restart Computer Options , and then specify how long to wait before restarting the computer. You can also create a message that you want to display to remote users before the computer restarts.
  5. In the Reset fail count after box, specify the number of days that the agent must run successfully before the fail count is reset.
When the fail count is reset to zero, the next failure triggers the action that is set for the first recovery attempt.
  1. Click OK.
