Manually installing the Veritas System Recovery Agent

You can manually install the Veritas System Recovery Agent to local or to remote computers.
To manually install the Veritas System Recovery Agent
  1. Ensure that you have completed the steps to prepare the computer to deploy the Veritas System Recovery agent.

  1. Insert the Veritas System Recovery product DVD into the media drive of the computer.
The installation program should start automatically.
If the installation program does not start, on the Windows taskbar, click Start > Run, type the following command, then clickOK.
<drive>:\browser.exe
where \<drive\> is the drive letter of your media drive.
  1. In the DVD browser panel, click Install Veritas System Recovery.
  2. In the Welcome panel, click Next.
  3. Read the license agreement, click I accept the terms in the license agreement, and then clickNext.
  4. If you want to change the default location for the program files, click Change. Then locate the folder in which you want to install the agent, and then clickOK.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Click Custom, and then clickNext.
  7. Click Veritas System Recovery Service, and then clickThis feature will be installed on local hard drive.
This feature is the agent.
  1. Set all other features to This feature will not be installed.
  2. Click Next, and then clickInstall.
