Running Backup Exec diagnostics
BE Diagnostics starts the Backup Exec Diagnostics application on the Backup Exec servers that appear in the Backup Exec Utility.
Backup Exec Diagnostics gathers information about Windows computers for troubleshooting purposes. You can find this application in the Backup Exec directory on your hard drive. The default location of the Backup Exec Diagnostics application is
<Backup Exec install path>\Backup Exec\.
To run BE Diagnostics

Select a Backup Exec server from either a Backup Exec server group or from All Backup Exec Servers.

In the results pane, select a Backup Exec server.

In the task pane, under General Tasks, click BE Diagnostics.
BE Diagnostics sends its output to an ASCII text file called bediag.txt. You can find this text file in the default Backup Exec installation directory:
<Backup Exec install path>\Backup Exec\
