Managing security certificates

You can view information about the security certificates, and remove the Backup Exec server security certificate and root certificate.
If you delete active certificates by using the Backup Exec Utility, the certificates are regenerated. If you delete expiring certificates, the certificates are not regenerated. If you delete all certificates, they are all regenerated.

Item Description
Backup Exec server Displays the name of the Backup Exec server to which the security certificate was issued.
Certificate Type Displays the following certificate types\:
- Active Root Certificate
- Active Server Certificate
- Expiring Root Certificate
- Expiring Server Certificate
Expiration Date Displays the date that the security certificate expires.
Issued To Displays the name of the Agent for Windows to which the security certificate was issued.
Issued By Displays the name of the certificate authority from which the security certificate was issued.
You can remove the security certificate for a Backup Exec server that has established a trust with the Agent for Windows.
Removing a security certificate
  1. In the Computers pane, click All Backup Exec Servers.
  2. In the Results pane, select a Backup Exec server.
  3. In the task pane, under General Tasks, click Manage Security Certificates.
  4. Click the certificate that you want to remove, and then click Remove.
