About backing up a Linux and Unix computer by using the Agent for Linux and Unix

The following backup methods appear when you use the Agent for Linux and Unix (Linux and Unix Agent) to back up data:
  • Full - Using modified time
  • Differential - Using modified time
  • Incremental - Using modified time
However, on the Novell OES server, only full backups are supported. If you select any other backup method, a full backup runs instead. The Agent for Linux and Unix also supports synthetic full backup. But, Novell OES does not support synthetic full backup.
