- 4K sector (native) disk volumes: Veritas System Recovery supports backup of 4K sector (native) disk volumes. As the VHDX format supports 4Kn disks, Veritas System Recovery now uses the VHDX format. Since VHDX format is supported on Windows 8/Windows Server 2012 and later, virtual conversion for 4K sector (native) volumes is now supported on Windows 8/Windows 2012 and later. To check the sector size of the disk, run the following command and see the BytesPerSector value.
